Self portrait of GOD’s Calling
Context: My pose was inspired from art history master painter Rembrandt’s self portrait. My left hand holding a color pallet with 7 brushes and they are representing God called me became a painter. My painting’s background I used Chinese traditional ink painting’s flowers and birds, to interpret where I came from. Also in China we don’t have freedom of speech and we use birds speaking for us in many different ways, such as writing or painting.
